WHO thinks that the proposed superdome would be an attraction on Portsmouth's waterside? It would be a monstrosity to look at from every angle and would completely detract from the wonderful outlook that is already there. It is an insult to the city's naval heritage.
The superdome would even look out of place in the middle of a field. It is the ugliest structure I have ever seen and despite the fact that it is supposed to give sporting facilities and yet more housing, the waterfront area does not need it. Please, don't allow the plans to be passed!

l I HAD to check the date to see whether it was April 1 when I saw and heard about Portsmouth's proposed new football stadium.
What an absolute monstrosity it will be. Like all new buildings rising in Portsmouth and Southampton it seems that absolutely no consideration is made for parking and the one-way road access into Portsmouth is legendary.
Also, it would spoil the terrific maritime display that is at present in force and who needs it when there is that magnificent Spinnaker Tower?
