THE 25th anniversary of the Falklands conflict has prompted me to wonder what would happen if the Argentinians invaded the islands again now that our forces are tied up in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Transferring a large force from Iraq to the other ends of the earth in a reasonable amount of time would be virtually impossible, leaving our Falkland Islands in real danger of being sacrificed in favour of keeping a fruitless presence in Iraq and Afghanistan.
