I NOTE with interest the letter from Councillor Lee Dunsdon, of Fawley Parish Council, saying he will not allow taxes to go up and he is not spending on moving the gym.

This is because he wants to leave the bar that is rented to a football club and only open a few days a week to stay as it is.

The gym has been losing money recently and the Tories put in a rescue plan and had grants for much of the cost.

The plan would improve access for all particularly the older and disabled members of the community who use the gym and petitioned for the move but were ignored.

Cllr Dunsdon wants to do nothing and hope things will get better.

We need a plan to turn round the community and recreation centre, not just let the football club have more space and us locals pay more tax.
