FOLLOWING on from the letter 'Once in a generation opportunity to change the way people travel', we are very pleased that Southampton City Council has been putting measures in place for social distancing by having safer walking and cycling
Southampton's Green Recovery Transport Plan should be applauded as a massive step in the right direction, fulfilling the Government's requirements, encouraging people to seriously consider the way they travel, while also contributing to tackling the climate emergency and cleaning the air we breathe in the city.
Please, people of Southampton, tell your councillors what you like about the plans (https://www.southampton.gov.uk/moderngov/mgFindMember.aspx, and please try to walk or cycle for any journeys that you possibly can.
