WE recently watched a DVD of the early part of the last war, in which we were involved, and found it very good and true to life, (or death, if you wish).

After watching such a moving film, one has thoughts on what one has seen, and my thoughts turned to life as it is in this country of ours today. There is no comparison to life these days in comparison to before the war, some for the better of course, but what also comes to mind is the way we are being tricked into accepting something that the figures tell us the greater majority of people in this fair land do not want and that is the EU. Tricked I say as I think back to Heaths statement that we would only be joining a trading agreement. How time has made this one of the biggest lies of our time.

But what really triggered off my wanting to write to you, are my thoughts, after watching the film as what sort of world we would have now if America had not been forced into the war. We could not have won on our own, that is for sure. So would we have Europe, as one big nation, dominated by Germany? Simple answer, we were promised a referendum, and this would have settled the question, but I talked of lies emanating from Heath, but now we have a Government headed by a Mr Brown who also is not a man of his word.
