Very sad to hear that Barclays Shirley is closing. Having banked with them for sixty years, I feel that loyalty counts for nothing. Having had cause to personally visit I had to go into the city centre and stand in a queue for an hour,at my age it’s no fun. Plus no bus comes near my address, occasionally one a hour. Take a car and find some place to park, and be chased by wardens, especially during lockdown. The reason for that visit I was hacked on the computer, which is why I don’t bank online. I may yet have to. There is some talk of using the Post office, but they keep closing. Some of my friends don’t even have a computer, and be sure how to use one, what of them? Certain portions of the public are overlooked. People in authority should use more thought.
