I FIND the letter headlined What Happened to our Kind Bobbies? (December 29) pathetic.
I am a 71-year-old pensioner but this faceless person is living in the 1950s. Times have changed and so have policing methods.
I have always found the police very polite and helpful If they go to a house to make an arrest they must have been sure of their evidence otherwise they would have not done this.
The days of the community bobby on the bike are long gone.
The police nowadays have to be more sophicated in their dealings with the public.
If this useless Government were to deport all criminals and reintroduce border patrols to stop foreigners coming to this country to fleece our NHS we would have enough money to do all the things the people want.
