I would like to comment on the article in August 3, about speeders in the forest.

I hope they’ve been fined a lot of money.

I have been travelling across to Lyndhurst for my work and twice I have had deer suddenly run out in front of me, one with a tiny fawn running after it’s mum.

This happened so quickly but as I was driving just under the 40 mph limit I was able to avoid a nasty collision.

I leave in plenty of time, as I like to enjoy the drive through the forest and take in its natural beauty, respecting the animals who are there.

People that are not prepared to drive sensibly and stick to the limit, should find alternate routes, as they spoil it for the people that do care and they are likely to injure or kill someone’s precious animal.
