THANK goodness someone has come up with a better idea than a Spitfire standing on its end. Quite ridiculous for such an iconic symbol.
The Soaraway design is so inspirational and should it be possible to place it in Mayflower Park or, better still, on a re-vamped pier, it would be great.
If we could even, at some time in the not-too-distant future, have perhaps a promenade so that we could walk along the waterfront and watch the ships - and little boats - coming in and out - wow! Can we, for once, look far ahead and plan for something better than the endless monstrosities of blocks of flats that we seem to be flooding the whole city with?
