RUTH Olden (Letters, January 17) criticised the closure of the cafe at Tesco, Dibden.
I work at the store and am extremely excited about the refit. Most comments I have heard have been positive.
While under the management of Aviance the coffee shop constantly received complants about the quality of food, the service, the price, the lack of newspapers to read and the opening hours.
The new Tesco Direct desk that is replacing the coffee shop is a great idea. It will save customers having to travel to Southampton to place orders, and will offer customers a fantastic range of non-food items at a fantastic price which they can order while shopping and pick up the next time they visit us.
The main reason the clothing department has closed is because the supermarket is classified as a food store and there is more demand for food.
