IT was a beautiful cloudless, sunny day and for everyone and anyone who had the time to watch there was free entertainment in the skies of Mansbridge and Swaythling.
Two buzzards (buteo buteo) were engaged in their courtship rituals and they were hovering, diving, wheeling and doing all sorts of acrobatics and generally showing off to each other and to anyone else.
All this took place over the Monks Brooks Greenway and its meadow on the outskirts of Southampton and only a very short distance from the M27, M3 and the airport.
Long may they come and entertain us.
