RE the interesting article in the TV & Leisure magazine Saturday May 2. Pilgrims progress, the picture of the memorial opposite the 'gates' of Mayflower Park. I must ask: what gates?
Those lovely gates were removed years ago, with no warning but promises that they would be back.
Well, where are they? Demolished I expect, or rusting away in some forgotten place.
They should be replaced, painted in all their glory.
