I FELT I just had to write to express my joy at reading about Kim Rose and the sterling work he and his volunteers have done in clearing the disgusting mess in Above Bar precinct.
I was there recently and was shocked to witness and walk through the garbage. Two days later when I was in the precinct there was a notable lack of rubbish and so now we know the name of the angel responsible for this clean up.
I don’t intend to pass any opinion on the strike but my purpose in writing is to thank Kim Rose and his great band of helpers for their public spiritedness in actually doing something to help keep Southampton clear for it’s residents, and particularly for tourists.
Well done Kim, I’d like to shake your hand; you deserve a medal (or maybe the Freedom of the City!).
MRS J CROUCHER, Lyndhurst.
