GIVE some people a little authority and they think they have the right to become dictators.

This is what appears to have happened to our council. Their policy seems to be ‘we can waste money willy nilly and the workers can pay by loss of jobs/money or both’.

It is all right to waste money on wooden poles to tell people where they are, and being good neighbours to Eastleigh they took on a family from hell and rehoused them when they knew that if they had to rehouse them again we the taxpayers of Southampton would have to foot the bill.

But it is not right for minions to strike to maintain a reasonable standard of living as the council has to save money so that the chief executive and councillors can entertain and live like lords of the manor.

I suggested getting rid of one third of councillors to Royston Smith – result a deathly silence.

This shows what they think of the electorate.
