THE Essex Air Ambulance was forced to touch down on Clacton beach to treat an injured person nearby.
A woman at a nearby address had fallen and suffered a head injury in her home on Monday afternoon.
Paramedics from the chopper were first on the scene after landing on the beach near Clacton pier.
They were joined by an ambulance and the woman was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further care.
