At the Traditional and Modern Barbers in New Milton, owner Lee Bampton has been raising funds for the Help for Heroes charity, by donating his money from haircuts over three days, raising a whopping £1,130.75.
As a bonus, Lee was sponsored by friend and customer Mark Adams, Executive chairman of Pennyfarthing Homes, to have all of his hair shaved off too. As this was Mark's idea, he was the privileged one to shave Lees’ hair. This raised an extra £1,065, helped along by Mark's donation of £500, which brought the overall total to £2,195.75p.
Lee was asked why he wanted to help this particular charity saying, "these guys make me feel proud to be British and I am humbled by their courage, we all should be”.
Lee also went on to say "I would like to thank all my generous customers and sponsors for helping me raise a fantastic sum"
