Maldon: Turn hospital into luxury flats says councillor
St Peter's Hospital should be listed and turned into luxury apartments, according to a district councillor.
Under Maldon District Council’s Local Development Plan (LDP), Maldon is to have a new hospital, however a replacement site for the town’s existing St Peter’s Hospital is yet to be agreed upon.
Councillor Michael Pearlman said: “I would like to see it become luxury apartments, which will provide more housing in Maldon, and this has been very successful in Braintree with the old St Michael’s hospital."
