AN INQUEST into the death of Rodger Tett was opened in Bournemouth yesterday morning.
The inquest heard that at 6pm on Saturday September 7, Mr Tett, 42, was found unconscious in Luckham Road, Charminster. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital but died on the evening of Monday September 9.
A post mortem examination was carried out by Home Office pathologist Amanda Jefferys, who said the cause of death was pending neuropathology and histology examination.
Stephen Gibbs, 33, of Maxwell Road, Bournemouth, has been charged with murder.
He will next appear at Winchester Crown Court on December 19 for a plea and case management hearing.
Coroner Sherriff Payne |has adjourned the inquest until an interim date of December 3.
