I NORMALLY do not make comments on national matters, but several issues are dominating the news with no solutions forthcoming.

The first is the state of care for the elderly and the NHS.

Both dominate the news and no political party has any solution.

People won’t like it, but perhaps we should raise taxes and national insurance and put proper investment in.

As to making cutbacks, A&E is reported to be going into meltdown.

So how many lives do we need to lose before things change?

All we hear is how poor this is getting and nothing gets done.

The other issue splitting the country is the high-speed rail link. Again predictions are that it will be £3 billion overspent before we get this service in 2032.

Cancel this, as we all know that £3 billion will only be the starting point for overspending, then put this money into the NHS and care for the elderly.

Easy when you know how.
