Roadworks caused traffic to build up in Brighton for the third day in a row.

A new pedestrian crossing is being built in Coldean Lane at the junction with Ditchling Road.

The roadworks are due to continue until Monday, May 27.

There are temporary traffic lights and traffic queues in both directions along Coldean Lane, the roundabout into Crowhurst Road and Ditchling Road.

One female driver, 28, who lives in Brighton said: “It’s annoying.

“I have to drive up that way every day and it is always jam-packed.

“Lewes Road was a nightmare for weeks and that is finally settling down.

“Now drivers have to contend with this.”
