The North Kent Federation on two occasions on which they held very interesting talks. The first on February 26 at the Methodist Church Hall, New Eltham, Mr Peter Russell gave an interesting talk on the Royals' which everybody enjoyed. The second on March 22 at the Progress Hall, Eltham, the lecture on Kew Gardens was given by Dr Peter Brandram. We were taken through the year at Kew Gardens with the most delightful slides including the illuminations of the Gardens at Christmas, it was a most excellent and enjoyable afternoon.
Both talks were appreciated by the members of the guilds. The guilds were represented by members from the Bexleyheath Afternoon, Bexley-heath Morning, Blackfen Morning, Blackfen Afternoon, Blackheath, Dartford Central, Eltham Afternoon, Eltham Park Afternoon, Eltham Morn-ing, Lee Evening, Mottingham Evening, Sidcup Afternoon and Welling Evening.
