A VILLAGE’S plans to build an all-weather sports facility are going ahead thanks to a landfill fund grant.
A project to install a new multi-use games area in King’s Somborne received £23,150 from The Veolia Environmental Trust.
It will be built at the recreation ground in Romsey Road, and will feature an all-weather surface marked out for several sports, including five-a-side football, basketball, tennis and cricket.
Building work could start in March or April.
