PLANS to enlarge a house at Culford Avenue, Totton, are set to be debated by town councillors.
Consent is being sought for a two-storey side extension, a single-storey rear extension and an extension to house a “plunge pool”.
The scheme will be discussed by the council’s planning committee on Wednesday.
A report says: “The addition of the two-storey wrap around extension is acceptable in terms of scale and will not have a detrimental impact on neighbouring properties.
“The rear single-storey element is an extension to house a plunge pool. This in part will replace an existing garage building.
"The extension would be acceptable.
"However, there is concern relating to excess noise from the use of the building and equipment needed to run the pool which may be unacceptable within a built-up area."
The application will be determined by New Forest District Council.
