PLANNING chiefs are studying a proposal relating to a 37-acre site owned by Associated British Ports.
Associated Pallets Ltd has submitted a revised application to permanently retain a pallet storage building at Eling Wharf, Totton.
A previous proposal to retain the building as withdrawn last month.
A statement accompanying the latest application says Eling Wharf is a well established industrial site that was originally owned by South West Tar Distilleries.
It adds: "The overall site is now owned by Associated British Ports and has a dominant use as a terminal for articulated lorries loading and unloading containers from Southampton docks.
"The application site is but a very small part of the overall site."
