PLANS to transform a Hampshire quay which attracts thousands of visitors a year have taken a major step forward.

Civic chiefs have applied for planning permission to replace the public toilets at Lymington Town Quay with a new complex that will include a cafe/bar with a roof terrace.

New Forest District Council (NFDC) has spent months devising the £1.2m scheme with the help of Lymington Harbour Commissioners and the town council.
