A HAMPSHIRE school has been given permission to extend and refurbish iits bike sheds.
New Forest District Council has approved a planning application submitted by Ashley Junior school in Normans Way, New Milton.
A report to members said: "At present the site contains two brick buildings attached to each other by an open-sided storage area.
"The proposal entails the refurbishment of the structure including enclosing the central section, renewing the roof and providing a canopy to the southern elevation to provide cover for minibuses.
"The proposed works represent an improvement to the existing building and provide a more secure facility for both cycles and minibuses within the school grounds.
"There would be little impact on the residential amenities of adjoining occupiers."
