PLANS for two outbuildings beside a house in the New Forest National Park have been withdrawn by the applicant.
The Lymington-based National Park Authority (NPA) is no longer studying an application relating to Avon Valley Cottage at South Gorley, near Fordingbridge.
The applicant had sought consent for a garage/car port and a summerhouse.
Members of the local parish council supported the proposal but the NPA has received two letters of objection.
One of the protesters said: "We very concerned over the siting, size and close proximity of the proposed garden room.
"This large building will be highly visible from all the rear and side windows of our cottage. It is overbearing and will block sunlight into our garden.
"We are asking for the building to be re-sited and reduced in size."
The parish council said: "It is felt that the buildings proposed are of an
appropriate design and do not impact on neighbours/the character of the area.
A concern was raised that the garden room should be further than 1m away from the boundary line as it looks very close to the neighbour.
