PLANNING chiefs have rejected proposals to enlarge a 19th century house in the New Forest National Park.
The National Park Authority (NPA) has refused an application relating to Lisle Court House in Lisle Court Road, Lymington.
A report to NPA members said: "Consent is sought to add a two-storey extension and single storey extension to the house and to form a basement.
"A two-storey outbuilding is also proposed along with various external alterations to the main house.
"The proposed extensions and replacement outbuilding would fail to preserve the historic character of the existing building or its setting.
"Furthermore, the amount of development proposed would have a harmful and suburbanising impact."
