A BUILDING on a Hampshire industrial estate was evacuated today after a fire in an industrial oven.
Crews from three fire stations - Beaulieu, Redbridge and St Mary's - converged on Marchwood Scientific Services just before 8am.
The company occupies one of the units on the Marchwood Industrial Estate.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "People were evacuated from the building as crews arrived to tackle the fire within an industrial oven.
The fire was out on arrival, but crews used two sets of breathing apparatus to investigate and then used ventilation fans to clear smoke from the premises."
Fire crews left the scene just before 8.40am.
