POLICE are investigating an incident that has resulted in part of a Southampton neighbourhood being cordoned off.

The emergency services were called to Monks Way in Mansbridge at around 5pm yesterday and a nearby track is still sealed off.

Residents say police were called after an injured teenager holding his stomach knocked on someone's door.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was called to the scene but the casualty is understood to have been taken to hospital in a land ambulance.

One woman said: "I heard the air ambulance flying overheard and a whole load of sirens.

"A track leading down to the river is still cordoned off. We've been told that no arrests have been made."

Hampshire police have been contacted for comment.
