TRIBUTES have been paid for an ‘amazing and caring’ Southampton father and grandad.

The 60-year-old’s body was found at the site in the Millbrook area of the city, where he lived, on the morning of November 9. Describing him as a David Bowie lookalike, his family has now come forward to pay their respects.

His passion for the practice art even led him to travel to China.

Later he spent time living in the rainforests of Sumatra. However, in 2008, he developed glaucoma.

At the time of his death, Mark was blind but also battling Lymphoma.

A statement from his daughter, Jess said: “Mark was an amazing caring dad/grandad, he brought his three children up as a devoted single dad from the late ’90s. When the children were little, he used to be an amazing carpenter, making the most amazing treehouse for them and lots of work around Southampton and London, but stopped when he took over as the lead role in the household. Mark is missed immensely already, as a family we are absolutely devastated to have lost him. Lots of love from his three children, four grandchildren his mum, sisters and his brother will forever be missing him. I can’t tell you enough just what a man he was.”
