POLICE have closed the northbound lane of the M3 following an accident.
The crash occurred between J12 A335 (Eastleigh) to J11 A3090 (Winchester South) shortly before 7.30pm.
The collision is currently affecting traffic between Southampton and Winchester.
National Highways, previously known as Highways England, says the scene is expected to be clear soon, with traffic returning to normal by 9.15pm.
It is not known known caused the collision, how many vehicles were involved or whether anyone was injured.
