Not everyone’s first choice, rats can actually make quite affectionate pets – could you offer these three a forever home?

The Blue Cross is currently caring for a trio of rats at their Southampton rehoming centre but would love to find them a loving home to go to.

Rats do get a bit of a bad rap but when it comes to four-legged friends, they can make for great family pets.

If you are looking for a low-maintenance furry to cuddle up on the couch with, these little creatures are actually very social and enjoy being petted and groomed. You can even train them to do some simple tricks.

If that sounds like the kind of animal you’d like to take in, this bunch are all looking for a new place to call home.

Beanie, Ziggy and Dray

Colour: White

This lovely little trio are looking for a home all together. They are friendly boys who get on very well.

Ziggy and Beanie are the more confident of the three and Dray is a sweet old fella who likes the quiet life.
