THE FAMILY of a man whose body was found in Southampton last month have said they want to be kept informed as the murder probe continues. 

Enquiries into the death of 43-year-old Slawomir Turek remain ongoing. His body was discovered on the morning of March 30 at Mansel Road West in Millbrook. 

A 49-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Now the brother of Mr Turek, Andrzej Turek, has spoken out about the investigation and the loss of his sibling.

Having previously paid tribute to his brother, using a translator, Andrzej who lives in Poland, said the family want more details about the investigation and who is being interviewed in relation to the death. 

He added that this would make the family feel more "protected and calm". 

Speaking on behalf of Andrzej, his translator said: "We want to be currently informed. They want to know what happened.

"Every death is very depressing and problematic and very sad but the death, in this case, is not only problematic, depressing, but they feel like they can't do anything about it."

The woman was later released from custody but remains under investigation, police have confirmed. 

A police cordon was put up at the home for more than 24 hours after Mr Turek's body was found.

Andrzej previously paid an emotional tribute to his sibling remembering him as a "lovely father, son and brother".
