A SOUTHAMPTON man has been jailed for five months for two offences committed at the city's main hospital.
Aaron Low, 26, of Cheriton Avenue, Harefield, damaged a bed at University Hospital Southampton and assaulted a police officer.
Southampton Magistrates' Court heard that both offences were committed on July 22 2021.
The case involving the hospital bed was heard at the court on February 16 this year, when the defendant was convicted in his absence.
Low was now been jailed for one month for criminal damage and told to pay a victim services surcharge of £128.
He has also been jailed for five months for assaulting a police officer. The two terms will run concurrently.
The magistrates heard that Low had a "flagrant disregard for people and their property".
