IT’S the perfect place for a coffee on the quay.
Coffee & Drift in Lymington offers freshly cooked brunches, Instagrammable cakes and superb customer service which means regular visitors and their four legged friends are known by name.
Set up by Grace Murphy in the summer of 2018, the property in Quay Road previously sold nautical merchandise and you can still see the original brass engraved step at the front door.

Speaking on behalf of staff, Paitin Du Plooy told the Daily Echo: “With over ten years of hospitality experience managing local businesses on the South Coast, Grace took a leap of faith and opened her dream business in August 2018. This is the busiest time of the year so we were off to a flying start!
“We are known for our speciality coffee, freshly cooked brunches and cakes from highly rated local bakers.
“We have an ever-changing innovative seasonal menu created by our staff, which not only focuses on being high quality, but also being Insta-grammable!
“We also pride ourselves on good customer service, so if we see Mark walking down with his pug Dinky, that ‘Oat Extra Shot Cap’ should be ready by the time he walks in!”
The café’s own Drift House Blend is one of a kind, a blend of 40 per cent Columbian Excelso, 40 per cent Brazilian Santos and 20 per cent Ugandan Robusta produced by Smiths Of London Roasters.
Customers keep coming back for the talented baristas serving art-topped creamy coffees, the views, the atmosphere and the quality products.
Inspired by the efforts of Manchester United and England footballer and campaigner Marcus Rashford, the team at Coffee & Drift worked voluntarily through lockdown selling takeaway drinks and snacks so they could raise cash to create 90 Christmas hampers for families in need.
They also provided lunchtime meals for 17 families a day during one of the half term breaks.
The menu includes nourish bowls, sourdough toasties and biscoff shakes as well as the crafted coffees.
The creative yet simple menu aims to ‘rock your taste buds’.
Pancake corner is particularly popular with guests young and old.
Overnight oats go down a storm for breakfast while buddha bowls are among the delights on offer at lunchtime.
