FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a blaze at a school building last night.
Crews from across the county raced to a disused building at Brune Park Community School following reports of smoke billowing from it.
The emergency call came in shortly before 6pm with engines from Gosport, Fareham and Portchester on the scene in Military Road, Gosport.
Two jets, a ladder platform and 17 breathing kits were used to tackle the blaze.
The fire, on the first floor of the building, was put out, however, crews reinspected the site overnight and this morning.
Relief crews from Wickham, Hightown and Havant Fire Stations were also involved in the operation with the stop message coming in at 9.25pm.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
