VIDEO footage shows the extent of police activity after a man was found injured near Southampton city centre.

Around ten officers, seven police cars, an ambulance and rapid response vehicle were called to London Road before 10am.

A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital after being found with serious injuries.

His condition is serious, an ambulance spokesperson said.

A large police cordon has been set up in front of Tesco Express and other businesses - it runs along the road from its junctions between Cumberland Place and Bellevue Road.

A block of flats next to London Road Brew House has also been taped off.

The road has now reopened.
