The HGV was heading west on the A35 on Monday when the accident happened in the centre of Lyndhurst, leaving the pavement covered in debris.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene and landed at Bolton's Bench.

Today police said she remains in hospital.

The lorry involved pulled over immediately afterwards and was left parked near the Willow Tree Cafe with its hazard warning lights on.
