A THIEF stole a car in Southampton and rammed police vehicles before driving through thick fog at high speed to get away.
Police pursued the driver, who ended up abandoning the Ford Mustang Mach1 in the Thames Valley area and fleeing on foot.
The car involved was stolen in a keyless theft in the city.

Referring to an earlier incident that also involved a high-speed pursuit Hampshire Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "It was a busy night working closely with SurreyRoadCops.
"This Ford Mustang was stolen in a keyless theft from Southampton.
"While using tactics to stop the vehicle the driver rammed police vehicles to get away, resulting in another lengthy pursuit headed towards Surrey.

"The driver took more and more risks at high speeds in heavy fog before taking a wrong turn, ending up abandoning the car in a dead end and resorting to two feet to get away.
"Unfortunately the driver is currently still outstanding."
