A NEW FOREST veterinary practice celebrating its 100th anniversary has launched an annual health care plan for horses, ponies and donkeys.
Seadown Veterinary Services in Frost Lane, Hythe, has been treating equines and other animals in the Forest since the early 1920s.
The new Horse Health Programme spreads the cost of preventative veterinary care such as vaccinations, dental care, and worming.
Clinical director Laura Trigg said the programme aimed to offer "peace of mind" for people worried about horse health all year round.
She added: "We are so pleased with the level of interest that has already been generated.
"Programme members receive regular emails about horse health and top tips for keeping their horse fit and well.
"Furthermore, all the worming benefits included enable owners to maintain a targeted worming programme which helps reduce the growing resistance to wormers."
