A MAN has been given penalty points after being clocked at 49mph on the M27.
Martin Hoskins, 60, was clocked at 49mph whilst driving a Ford between junctions five and seven near West End.
A 40mph variable speed limit was in place at the time on the eastbound carriageway.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court, Hoskins of Boundary Road, Bursledon admitted one count of exceeding a variable speed limit.
He was fined £60 and given three penalty points.
Hoskins must also pay a £40 surcharge by August 31.
