With season seven of Billions reaching an epic conclusion, the Echo looks back at when filming for the Showtime blockbuster came to Hampshire.

The stunning grounds of Shawford Park House became the backdrop for the much-loved television production.

The 17th-century building and grounds were bustling with activity as a team constructed their base for filming at the historical site

In a letter to local residents sent before the crew moved in, production company FPS One said: "All the filming will take place within the house, however, to service the location, we will be constructing a unit base for our facility vehicles in the field opposite the entrance gates.

"We will be laying portable roadway panels in Shawford Dene field from 7.30 on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th July and then constructing a large marquee in the field on Thursday 9th July.

"The actual filming will then take place between the hours of 6am and 8pm from Tuesday 13th to Sunday 18th July. During this time there will be a number of large vehicle movements from 6am to 8am each morning and then again from 6.30pm to 7.30pm as crew leave."

Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin came together to create the hit American television drama series. This show was highly acclaimed for its captivating storylines and characters.

Making its debut on January 18, 2016, the show was a huge success and produced seven seasons.

The creators have confirmed the season seven finale will be the last, although there may be spin-offs set in the same universe.
