A female driver was seriously injured in a crash that closed one of the main roads in the New Forest.
The A337 between Lymington and New Milton was shut in both directions after a collision that occurred around 6am.
Drivers were unable to use the route between its junctions with Haglane Copse and Old Christchurch Road.
A police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 5.36am to reports of a collision involving a Honda Jazz on Downton Lane.
"The driver, a woman aged in her 30s, has suffered serious injuries. The road was closed while emergency services attended the incident. It was re-opened at 9.17am."
The crash prompted a warning about the icy conditions.
Posting on social media Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said: "Expect roads to be icy this morning, even roads which have been treated.
"We are already receiving several calls for collisions with vehicles leaving the road due to ice. Please slow down and take extra care. The A337 between Lymington & New Milton is closed due to an RTC."
Reports on social media suggested the road could be closed until lunchtime, but all lanes have now reopened.
