Police have provided an update after a woman was seriously injured in a crash.
Officers were called to Romsey Road – at the junction with Wimpson Lane – in Southampton on Monday afternoon.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was taken to hospital by crew from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Police arrested a 23-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing serious injury by careless driving.
The man has since been released but remains under investigation, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed.

The condition of the woman is not known.
A large cordon was put up at the junction as police dealt with the incident.
Motorists were forced to make U-turns and take alternative routes as a result of the junction closure.
