A large group of Police vehicles and officers were spotted by residents outside Redbridge Towers on Tuesday night.
Residents of the area saw two police vehicles and at least six officers waiting outside of the Southampton tower block.
Police have now revealed they were following enquiries related to an ongoing burglary investigation.

The officers were in the area of Redbridge Towers following up intelligence after police chased a stolen BMW in Sholing, on Monday evening, March 18.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We attended an address at Redbridge Towers as part of our ongoing burglary series investigation after we made an arrest in Sholing.”
