A man has been arrested after an “assault” in Northam.
Hampshire police confirmed a man in his 40s was injured in Kent Street, Northam, in Southampton.

A large cordon is in place around Kent House on the estate.
A spokeswoman said: “We were called just after 8pm this evening by colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service to reports of an assault on Kent Street in Southampton.
“Officers have attended and a man in his 40s has been taken to hospital.
“A 35 year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody at this time.
“An investigation has been launched and officers will remain on scene while enquiries continue
