One of Hampshire's leading housebuilders has unveiled plans to turn a former brewery into its new headquarters.
Pennyfarthing Homes has outgrown its current home and is moving from New Milton to Ringwood as part of a long-term growth strategy.
The award-winning company has bought Ringwood Brewery, which shut in 2024 in what was described as a "tragedy" for the town.
In its heyday, the brewery produced about 42,000 barrels of beer a year and also sponsored major events such as the New Forest Show.
In December 2023 Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC), now known as Carlsberg Britic, announced it had decided to close the site and move production elsewhere.
CMBC said it has been unable to find a buyer for the building and brand since putting it up for sale six months earlier.
Now, Pennyfarthing is preparing to convert the brewery into offices.

Mark Adams, the company's executive chairman, said: "We are proud to be breathing new life into an iconic local site that has been under-utilised for several years.
"This development will not only provide Pennyfarthing with a new base that reflects our ambitions for the future, but it will also bring new jobs and energy to the local area.
"Ringwood is a thriving town in a prime location, and we look forward to being part of its future."
Pennyfarthing has sold two warehouses to Brighter Productions, a leading event production company that will also be based on the 1.88m site.
Sean Tompkins, of Brighter Productions, said: "We are thrilled to be moving into such a unique and characterful location.
"This new headquarters will give us the space and facilities we need to continue growing our business while keeping us firmly rooted in the local area.
"Pennyfarthing's vision for the redevelopment is inspiring, and we are excited to be part of the next chapter for this site."
David Bodily, of Carlsberg Britic, added: said: "Ringwood Brewery has long been a part of the town's history. We're pleased the site's legacy can continue through this redevelopment by a family-owned and well-established business.
"We welcome Pennyfarthing's plans to revitalise the site so that it contributes positively to the community and wish them every success as the site's new owners."
Work on converting the brewery is expected to start next year.
