A man has been arrested at the scene of an attempted burglary in Southampton.
Police were called to a property in Hewitts Road in the early hours of today.
Posting on social media police said: "It was reported a man had been trying the front door and garden gate at an address around 3.20am.
"When officers arrived, a man matching the description given was identified and arrested.
"A 21-year-old man who lives in Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.
"He remains in custody at this time."
