Southampton Community Cricket Club was set up in May 2003 with the help of the city council and the Hampshire Cricket Board to bring the game to children within the city boundaries.
With centres at Hoglands Park and Green Park, the club regularly attracts about 100 children a week, aged between eight and 15, for coaching in a structured and safe environment.
Winter coaching sessions are already being held at St Mary's Leisure Centre and Millbrook School every Friday evening. For more information on volunteering or getting your children involved, contact Clive Surry on 023 8071 0000.
